It was a country vibe with a bit of sass when Belle and Jared were hitched in September 2023. From the moment we met they had a very clear vision of some special elements they would like to include in their ceremony resulting in a ceremony that was a beautiful balance of heartfelt moments & laughter.
The bride wore cowboy boots (her something blue!) and her bride tribe carried floral baskets
Bella walked down the aisle with her Dad John and Step Dad Ian and I let Jared know when it was time to turn for his first look when Belle reached the top of the aisle.

The special moments didn’t stop there… before we got underway with the ceremony, we had an announcement to make. So, when couples get married, it really is a time for reflection. Jared had made a really important decision, one that he has been thinking about for some time and one that he felt was right, especially now that he was getting married. And so it was that I had the honour of announcing that Jared has taken his mum’s family name and had now legally changed his surname to his mum’s. It was a beautiful and emotional moment for everyone.

We then shared their story, from striking up a flirty friendship across the bar where Belle was working and Jared was a regular, to finally going on a real date some 4 years later and then realising this was it, they had found ‘the one’ at the Canungra Rodeo with a few Bundy Rum & Cokes onboard.
Sharing stories during the ceremony
I shared some words from their friends, including a few inside jokes and of course a few Rum references and then we did the legal stuff and they shared personal vows.
Personal vow time
The ceremony finished with a tree planting ceremony where they planted a Wollemi Pine – one of the worlds oldest and rarest trees – into a pot to take to their forever home so they can watch it grow together.

With the ceremony over the party kicked off in the barn with Vintage Hire Co onboard for all things drinks and the team at Scenic Rim Farm Shop & Café cooking up a storm.
