I recommend you flip the routine that sees most couples choose their date first and then try to lock their preferred venue and suppliers. You see this can see many couples miss out on their favourite venues and vendors because they are already booked!
Instead I recommend you contact your dream team of key vendors first. The top 3 wedding vendors you want to lock in are:
your venue,
your photographer and,
of course your celebrant.
If you contact your ‘dream team’ with a date range in mind, and are open to options, you should be able to find a date that suits everyone, guaranteeing you the wedding specialists you really want to work with!
Did you know that in 2023 85% of couples opted to book a civil celebrant for their wedding with most booking 9 - 12 months in advance. There are popular wedding months that book out quickly for wedding suppliers. If you are planning a wedding in Qld in March/April/May or August/September/October, I recommend you get in quickly as many venues, celebrants and photographers are already booked on many of the weekend dates in 2024. The other thing to consider is a weekday wedding with Thursday and Friday weddings continuing to grow in popularity.
